This
question is almost inevitable when one sees the extent of popularity
that Kivanç reached, and particularly among the Pakistani community in the a very short period.
The point here is whether one is attracted to him because he is a "westernized" version of Muslim guys, and therefore, many girls' dream-come-true man, or because he is displays a profound attachment to the values and traditions that are related to his culture.
Personally, I am "in love" with the combination of those two aspects. I really admire his liberal way of being (reflected in his artistic choices, the tatoos on his body, his mode of life, etc) but also his respect to values and deep commitment as a person, a family member, and certainly a friend and a colleague. I find this combination quite rich and unique, and maybe it is even a reflection of the Turkish culture itself which is quite exceptional as well... (& this idea i got through media and his own words of his many interviews)
It is not only about being Muslim , neither i am saying that i love him only because he is my co-relegion. Obviously this is not true. I have always like him from the very first impression. I love his acting, hi style, his smile, his face his every thing but when i came to know about the truth that he is Muslim. I was so happy , i can't express my feelings. It was so new for me that a man with so western appearance is a Muslim either practicing or not; no concern with it.
I hope that you agree with me that it's no exaggeration to assert that Kivanç's popularity is being phenomenal in different parts of the world, and that he has sort of revolutionized our existence thanks to his very unique and amazing presence on the artistic scene. Just look at the fans' number on his facebook page which keeps increasing by 1000 at least each day, Masha Allah! And even in the "offline world" people are being crazy about him, and these include all sorts of categories ranging from housewives to working women, from adults to kids, from girls to boys, form romantics to realists, from "simple-minded" to those showing a higher degree of intellect, from soap opera addicts to art critics, and the list is just long...
True that he was introduced to most of us through his series Ishq e Memnu, and true he captivated his audience and managed to hold it spellbound. However, Kivanç Tatlitug is a name that can't be forgotten once the series is finished or this "wave of craziness" if we may call it so is over. In fact, I see Kivanç's lasting effect right in the way he successfully communicated to us intense and profound emotions that we are not likely to forget soon. He also -- I'm sure you agree -- redefined many notions that are closely related to our everyday life, and inspired us in a very positive way, especially when it comes to such essential values as commitment, faithfulness, determination, positive aggression, love, etc. I really think that he did so magnificently well, and for this he does deserve the loyalty and devotion of his fans. Above all, I see Kivanç's most significant contribution in the way he -- directly or indirectly -- rekindled our interest in the Turkish culture, as we are passionately developing a keen interest in finding out more about Turkish music, language and history, which is in my opinion a very beautiful way of bridging cultures and learning to appreciate the other regardless of differences or distinctions.
Well then, thank you very much Kivanç Tatlitug, and be sure that your passage into our lives is not going to be a passing crazy adventure! Far from it, we're going to be nourished by your essence, and for a long lasting time!

this is such a stupid article.
ReplyDeletewe all like kivanc coz he is goodlooking. simple fact. we crush over his looks.thats it.
his religion.being same as ours is just an.added benefit. we all liked him even before we found out he was turkish or muslim when we saw him as behlul. later some girls liked him. remember how girls crushed over him when.show started ppl dint even know what country the show is from.and religion etc. Thanks to Rj Shariq Mehmood who made behlul memorable with his superb voice over he gave behlul personality. we should appreciate Shariq Bhai as i saw original Ishqemamnu and trust me the urdu dubbed behlul is more fun to watch due to his voice and naughty style of talking!!
yar is trhan na kaha karo kitna bura lagta hy stupid article ka kya matlab hy :/ ye to fact hy k hum kivanc ko pehly se hi pasand karty thy per ye bhi such hai k ye pata lagny k bad k wo Muslaman hy hamen or zyada khushi hui
Deletewriter makes it seem as if pakistani ppl are rascist abd dont like ppl who are not muslim.that is not true. i agree that girls felt more attachment to kivanc when.they found out he is from.our religious community (which is so dumb as if these girls will have a chance with him.after that).
Deletealso the characters he does dont reflect nicely on islam with the love and kissing scenes etc walking around half naked.
i just want writer not to bring religion into it please. that is really a wierd thing to write about. we dont kno how much practising muslim he is so talking about his muslim.values is a null and void argument as no one on this blog knows him personally. being a kivo fan i would expect writer not to give wrong info on him.
plus if islam was the only reason girls liked boys then pakistani actors would be thier first choice over these imports. so please get your facts right. your article makes us pakistani girls look stupid. pakistani girls r crazy for john abraham and ashton kutcher who are not muslims. so what you say is article is not true for all kivo fans. my parsi friend loves kivo n islam has nothing to do vit it.
this is what you are taking of it writer haven't mention that pakis love him only becoz he is Muslim but yes this is true that we love him more and got atttachd to hm aftr knwng ths reality. if fels gud to see sm1 wd western lok yet Muslim. this article is nthng else. i m nt admin fan niethr i lv kivo that much but i acept ths realty and if u r sayng tht paki celebs wud b lvd more thn 4 ur info yes we lov paki celb too but they are nt so wstrnizd as he is and thts y he is mor atrctv. ths is nt abt relign yet a fct. any1 wd same specialities is always demanded and at the same tym Islam also said to lv muslms more n respct thm as we are brthrs and to kep in peac wd non muslms so tht thy wud lv u and ur rlgn too. admin hats off i jst loved it by the core of mah heart
Deleteloving john or any 1 else is nt relatd. kivo is lvd by many rlgn pepl but phr b hum sb bht khsh hue the k behlol asal me muslm he bhai wo ksa b mslman h hame is se kya lena par ek blond bnda jo us tym me hr larke k dmag pe hawi tha us k muslman hony se sbko khshe hue the or ap bki post b dekho john ko bh admin ne pasnd kia he matlb saf k admin b racist nae bs unhon ek fct btaya or agr oske mslm hona matr nh krta to y artcl to ub ka h pr ek sal s zyda s fb pgs p kya log ye nhe pochte k kya beren engn kvanc hazl or bki mslm hn or jwb jany k bd khsh b bht hoty hn engn ka page ho ya beren ka, kevanch ka ho ya hazal ka har jaga ye sawal he. me ishq mamnu ki admin ho or page per 10k+ likes han jaha bohat jaga per ye bat hoti ha jb se page bnaya hai waha to kbhe cmnt nae dkha mene k relign s kya h bla bla to yha quo shor kar rahe ho sb. john ho yo tom ya koi or. hum une pasand karte hain par salman khan amir khan ki respct b krty hn amir Haj p gya tha sb ktne khush the ye racist hna nahe kehlata ye upnaeyat hoti he muslm khn ka b ho wo hmry lye upna hai.
Deleteawesome article it is (Y) loved it and love kivanc yes this is so true that we love him but after knowing that he is Muslim too omg i cant express my feelings love him alot :*
ReplyDeletewow kivo i love u u are my best actr
ReplyDeletei liked kivanc bevause he was cute. but i like Engin Akyurek also because he acts well n i love his expression and eyes. I cant choose between these two. i dont want to choose so please dont make me. Thier religion has nothing related to my attraction towards them.with kivo its his looks especially in IM and with Engin its his Acting and way he looks and talks in dramas. article is well written but i dont agree with it.however after knowing that they both are muslim you feel like you know them as they may share same values as you but since Turkey is secular i have come to know that thier values are not same like us at all :-( Pakistanis are better practising muslims.
ReplyDeletebut it is not comparing kivo or engin and i guess having same religion seriously matters it feels like he is like us truely
Deleteiam not comparing engin or kivo, i am saying i like both and i liked them even before i knew thier religion becuase ofthier talent and looks. so i dont agree with writer that the religion made me like them more, its just that they are goodlooking men who made thier characters seem nice and real by thier talent :)
Deletearay bhai author ne likha hai k Muslim hone ke waja s or be zada pasand karne lage ye nae lekha k serf muslm hone ke waja se pasand kea warna nae karte ap log b be tuke behes karte ho
