Middle East has its own Brad Pitt

Here i am giving you a short description of Kivianc Tatlitug fame in Arab, one of the famous newspaper write about him and that is as follows :')

Brad Pitt is now available as a Middle Eastern variant and is the latest rage amongst throngs of women in the Arab world. Admittedly, the actor is Turkish and his name has a different clang to it, but thanks to his blonde hair, blue eyes and romantic gestures, actor Kivanc Tatlitung has been dubbed "the Middle East's Brad Pitt" by Turkish media.

Turkish actor Kivanc Tatlitug has won over many hearts, his fame creating a wave of regional interest in his homeland. He has led the growing success of Turkish TV dramas across the region through his soap opera "Noor" and given a boost to his country's tourism industry in the process.

That success coincides with a rise in Turkey's profile in the Arab world since Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan's outspoken condemnation at the Davos World Economic Forum of Israel's January offensive in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, which won him popular praise across the region.

Tatlitug attracts acclaim of a different kind on promotional visits to Arab countries.

"The reaction is unbelievable. I am faced with people screaming. There are people who cry with joy. Age is not important," said the 25-year-old, a former basketball player and male model who won the Best Model of the World contest in 2002.

The surge in the Arab world's interest in Turkish popular culture reflects cultural and religious similarities between the Arabs and their northern neighbour, a predominantly Muslim but secular country which is trying to join the European Union.

It also comes as Barack Obama plans to make Turkey the first Muslim country he visits as U.S. president to emphasize that "democracy and modernity and Islam can all coexist," his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, said in Ankara last week.

Trade and business links between Turkey and the Arab world have flourished since Erdogan's AK Party, which has roots in political Islam, came to power in Ankara in 2002.

The series "Noor", aired by Saudi-owned MBC satellite television, focuses on the relationship between Mehmet -- whose name in the Arabic version is Mohannad (not Mohammad) -- and his wife Noor. Its final episode attracted nearly 85 million viewers across the Arab world, a record for Arab TV.

"Mehmet is blond and has blue eyes, yet I am a Muslim and we have a culture which is very close to that of the Middle East," Tatlitug told Reuters in an interview in Levent, an upmarket Istanbul neighbourhood.

"People felt a contrast between the outer appearance and the behaviour," said the actor, son of a patisserie owner from the Mediterranean city of Adana. "He is not somebody who goes out and indulges in roguish behaviour. He is a man who shows great respect, interest and love for his wife."

Tatlitug is building on the success of "Noor" in the Arab world with a new series "Mirna wa Khalil", in which he also plays the romantic lead, Halil.

But for me , i guess Kivianc is more heart throbbing and handsome than Bradpit :P apart from his physical beauty he is also good hearted , always kind and loving to his fans. From his acting to his expressions, attitude every thing is just perfect. The way he act is fabulous. From romance to love making, from flirt to playing, from fighting to comedy he is a perfect choice, for each and every scenario. He is handsome with lots of good qualities and for the reason he is my best actor.

    3. actually admin you are wrong, turkish series were introduced to arab world with noor, thats why it is famous more there and songul is favorite actress there,as they were first turks actors and tv series that arab world saw. ishqememnu was big hit there aswell but fatmagul first season was more hit than ishqememnu both seasons but season 2 ratings went a bit down. i know it as i read it on websites. even now arabs go to the gul kitchen for lunch and taking pictures (it is a real cafe and you can eat and book the place0 and those people who own it were even asked to give franchise for arab countries as it was a huge series and people love it alot. you can do a search on internet, there are articles on it!
in pak ishqememnu was first series of turk we saw n became huge hit. but in pak this craze is going down now while in arab people are still addicted to turk series.because every channel is playing turk shows and oversaturation on tv is making people sick and frustrated now.

    5. and yes Fatmagul was a big hit there because of its unique story but in season 2 , maker has expand it so much without any good scene or story so that people got sick of it and even stars too, Beren herself was so tired of it that she was even being criticized over it.

  7. i mean you are wrong tht noor was not popular coz of bad dubbing, its dubing was good, only it was similar in style to indian serial, and couple and dressing was a bit old fashioned, anyone you ask would say it seems old serial, thats why it dint pick up while minahil khalil got more views as kivanc in styling looked similar to behlool character in it and its publicity was not done well by geo while express made a nice song.dubbing is not the only reason.

    1. but on my page of noor , people were complaining for dubbing . even i myself found it pathetically dubbed. if it would be dubbed nicely like ishq e memnu then no one could resist watching it.
