How to treat your daughters?

I am sharing some of the ways to treat your daughter. All before this , one should have a point clear in its mind that GIRLS ARE EQUALLY RESPECTABLE AND LOVABLE AS BOYS ARE. One shouldn't make difference between them. You should respect them, love them and encourage them in every path. We are now living in modern era when women are working side-by-side with men and sometimes better than them. Now what we need is to educate ourselves , to grow our thinking positively for how we should behave with our daughters.

WHAT ISLAM SAYS:

In Islam, A great importance has been given to daughters,  The Prophet(SAW) has called her a blessed woman who’s first child is a daughter.

In some hadith, when the Prophet(SAW) mentioned the blessings of bringing up 3 daughters or sisters, somebody asked “What if someone has only 1 daughter?” The Prophet(SAW) mentioned the same prize for him as well,i-e a place in the paradise. Paradise would never be made mandatory for such people had daughters not been blessings of Allah (SWT).

This shows that daughters are indeed a source of blessing from Allah(SWT), therefore if a daughter is born in someone’s house, he should not be saddened by this, instead he should rejoice and thank Allah(SWT) for this blessing.

Once Prophet P.B.U.H narrates:

One who loves his daughters and withstands the hardship of grooming and getting them married, then Almighty Allah makes Jannah Waajib (compulsory) on him and keeps him protected from the Fire of Hell.

Above stated Hadith clearly defines the position of parents who up bring their daughter in gentle way. They would be awarded by paradise for sure for their good behavior and care for their daughters.

For A Fruitful Society:

Likewise, To build a successful and happy society , one should brings up her daughter with great love and care, one should highly educate them so that in the future they could serve the nation step-by-step with a men.

Brigham Young Says: 

“You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.”

Women are the inherent part of our society and cannot be neglected due to their less power and authority. They are created as a companion for men and men have to make her walk with them in the course of life.  It is the objective of all parents to try to bring up and educate child to take up one occupation, vocation or profession to lead a good life. It is the utmost responsibility of parents to educate their daughters the same way for sons. They shouldn't underestimate their daughter's talent. They should listen what she wants and help her in so. This will not only make them good parents but will also enable their daughters to work for them and society and this would led the society towards success , towards betterment. As Napoleon Bonaparte said:

"Give me an educated mother, I shall promise you the birth of a civilized, educated nation" 

 How to treat your daughters:

• Never sadden by the birth of your daughter.
• Never look upon them with hatred.
• Never discourage them.
• Always give them the same thing as you are giving to your son.
• Always take care of them and love them, make them feel that you are on their sides every time they need.
• Always appreciate them on their success and guide them in the most appropriate way on their faults or failures.
• Never speak harsh to them.
• Teach her to be polite and quiet, and you can only do that if you are equally polite with them. Learn them the difference between being polite and being door mate. You should teach them to be confident but in a respectable way.
• You should make them realize they are pretty, they don't need to feel bad for their physical appearance, they are perfect in the way they are. Never allow others to do so.
• You should know where your daughter is, what's her gathering, what's she doing, what are her hobbies. If you found them fine for her , let her be but if you won't, stop her and guide her the right way.
