Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ “Kelebeğin Rüyası” (The Butterfly’s Dream)

Hey Kivanc fans ! Here i have bring an awesome movie description of Kivo.. I hope you all people will like it.

The film takes place in a familiar region if you have been following recent Turkish cinema, northern Turkey, or the coast of the Black Sea. The backdrop is the turmoil of the World War II, reflected through the Obligation Law, where every male in the city of Zonguldak and the surrounding towns is required to work in the coal mines.

Film name is “Kelebeğin Rüyası” (Butterfly’s Dream), starring Erdoğan as well as Mert Fırat, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Belçim Bilgin, Taner Birsel, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan and Farah Zeynep Abdullah, the film received a total of 16,343,340 liras.

In the center are two young struggling poets, Rüştü Onur and Muzaffer Tayyip Uslu, played respectively by Mert Fırat and TV heartthrob Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, making his transition to screen actor. Although based on true life stories, Onur and Uslu are relatively lesser-known poets whose names will not ring any bell for many in the Turkish audience.

“Don’t write love poems,” wrote Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke in his “Letters to a Young Poet.” It is not a piece of advice these two young poets take to heart. On the contrary, writing love poems are at the heart of the film, the ultimate drive for the two men as they seek the love of the same girl with their poems.

The film tells the story of two unknown poets, Rüştü Onur and Muzaffer Tayyip Uslu living in World War II-era Zonguldak. Galas were held for it in different cities including London, Los Angeles and Dubai.
Yılmaz Erdoğan’s film  has been viewed by more than 1.6 million people since its release Feb. 22. According to information from Box Office Turkey, the film was released in 578 theaters and has been seen by 1,692,999 people.

“Kelebeğin Rüyası” (The Butterfly’s Dream) has turned out to be one of those all-great period dramas for me. Filmmaker, writer, actor and – while unbeknownst to some – poet Yılmaz Erdoğan returns to the screen with a tale of poetry, youth and young love set in 1940s Turkey. Erdoğan writes, directs, and takes screen time with a supporting role as the revered poet Behçet Necatigil.

A gala event to mark the opening of Yılmaz Erdogan’s film “Kelebeğin Rüyasi” (Butterfly’s Dream) has been held in Dubai. Fans of lead actor Kivanc Tatlitug flocked to the gala event, which was also aired online on Facebook, daily Hürriyet reported. As well as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the film simultaneously opened across Europe and the Middle East.

The London Turkish Film Festival’s (LTFF) gala night has been held in London, with the opening movie “Kelebeğin Rüyası” (The Butterfly’s Dream) being screened at Leicester Square’s Odeon West End cinema.

Kadir İnanır received the festival’s lifetime achievement award while Reis Çelik, the director of “Lal Gece” (Red Night) movie received the Golden Wings Digitürk Digital Distribution award. With the award, Çelik won 30,000 pounds award to support the distribution of the film in the U.K. and Ireland.
After receiving his own award, İnanır said he was very honored and happy, and also addressed the Turkish community in London.
“You are living here, but I know you long for your own country. I have brought you greetings from Turkey,” he said.

Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ said he was very happy to be in London and Mert Fırat stressed that a great deal of labor had gone into the making of the movie.

Over the years, the LTFF has screened nearly 300 feature and 350 short and documentary films. The festival has also invited nearly 250 guests, including directors, producers, actors, and short film-makers.
